LaLa’s world is a short documentary around LaLa Zannell, a lead organizer in the Trans community, and the first trans woman of color at the White House briefing for Women’s History Month, that aims to better understand the daily challenges of NYC trans women of color. LaLa's journey is a unique story of challenges, love and support that differs from the "Victim's narrative" that we often hear in the media.
Lala's World was premiere at the Nova Premiere Film Festival in 2018 receiving praise from film critics and quickly attracting the attention of other community LGBTQA advocates.
Recently Lala has accepted a role as a Trans Justice Campaign Manager at ACLU and is working with the Womanity Project in new developments.
