Denise was born in Amioun, Lebanon. She is is currently finishing her PhD at the Criminal Justice Institute of the University of Portsmouth, UK. Denise is the first Lebanese member of the  American Academy of Forensic Sciences (AAFS) and has been given an Appreciation Award by the Minister of Justice for field and work efforts in implementing forensic capacity building projects for the Lebanese Judiciary. She is a Team Leader and Forensic Expert for the Netherlands support to Forensic Capability and uptake Project in Lebanon.

Denise is also  Certified expert on “Investigating Cases of Gender-based Violence (GBV) as International Crimes” and was the Head Coordinator of the Forensic Science Department & Instructor of the American University of Science and Technology. 

She also loves traveling and learning languages.
